Which months are cold in Australia? Does it snow there? |

Summer: December to February Autumn: March to May Winter: June to August Spring: September to November Others Right now and yes it snows in some places it is 'cold' now but it isnt really. it is just what they call cold...they ahve sun for 360 days a year and the other 5 days are usually stormy rains... i have never heard of it snowing in Austrailia but dont quote me on that part lol...xx winter months are june july & august but before winter..autumn & spring get a bit chilly aswell.Yes it snows in NSW(new south wales) victoria & tasmania(all states of ausie)& it snows now(just started)for all winter..depending on the rain..its been raining heaps so its really good snow weather now.hope this helps Aussie snow bunny now it麓s winter in australia as well as in the whole "southern" part of the world. it snows in some montain areas, but it麓s everywhere cold and wet. Snows lightly about once every four years in Canberra, Orange, Bathurst, Cooma, Armidale - look on the map for these. Heavier snow about once in 15 years. The state capitals are coastal, so almost never get snow, possible exception is Hobart. Brisbane and Sydney are subtropical, Darwin is tropical so it will be a cold day in hell when they have snow. Snowfields in the Snowy Mountains district are larger than Switzerland in a good snow season. Some snow predicted today for these and nearby mountains.
