Travel Info where to live in sydney if you want to start surfing? no to far from macquarie university and near where the party is ... Travel Tips Hi, The Sydney Northern Beaches are by far the best beaches to surf at. Plus they are the closest to Macquarie University. If you don't already know how to surf, you can learn with Manly Surf School. http://www.manlysurfschool.com/... These are a list of beaches with Web Cam from the coastal watch site and you can also get surf reports and surf forecasts. Shelly beach Palm Beach Mona Vale Nth Narrabeen DeeWhy Manly Sydney Harbour Bondi Maroubra Cronulla Wollongong Shoalhaven http://www.coastalwatch.com/camera/camer... surf reports, surf forecasts. http://www.coastalwatch.com/contents/def... Macquarie University is in North Ryde and its west of the beaches and its around 45 minutes to 1 hour drive to get there. If you plan on living near the ocean your best choice suburb would be Mona Vale. All you do is drive west on Mona Vale Road as it passes under the Pacific Hwy it changes to Ryde Road and it takes you though North Ryde, then take the University turn off. http://members.ozemail.com.au/~russo/tou... Others I live in Brisbane & I don't know where the Uni is but Bondi is a cool surfing spot where all the young hang around & manly beach is also good. I love Sydney & the Harbour it is a great place to visit. Sydney has great transport to get around buses trains etc & plenty of them Dude, do NOT live in Bondi if you want to go to mac uni - stay north side of the harbour - manly would be your best bet, and heaps going on, great culture Manly Beach If you live right near Macquarie, you can get a bus anywhere you like, they go into the city, to Manly, to Bondi, to Cronulla, to Parramatta, anywhere! Seriously, up until a month ago, I used to live up the road from Macquarie, you can get to anywhere from there. |
