Travel Tips Because so many people want to travel home for the holidays and they are willing to pay extra for it, so the airlines bump up the prices, try flying early December. Others It's normally only expensive over the Xmas/New Year period, the rest of December (in the Northern Hemisphere anyway) is normally a fairly cheap time. Because the whole of the christian world celebrates Christmas. This means a lot of people want to travel at this time to visit relatives etc, this means the price of a ticket goes up because of supply and demand. Partly due to Christmas...the other part...Winter Vacations...people are either wanting to go skiing or completely opposite...heading to the islands to warm up with fun in the sun! Because it's considered peak season due to the X'mas holidays and school holidays....a time when people all over are travelling home, or travelling elsewhere for holidays. Probably because that is a heavy travel time for a lot of people due to the Christmas holiday. Because it's the Xmas month... And everyone hopes that people easier spend money on things like roundtrips and so forth. |
