Pros and cons of studying in australia for a year? (from Mexico)? |
Travel Info I'm a 20 year old girl from Mexico and I'm thinking of doing my study abroad year starting in July '08 in Sydney Australia. I'd be studying at the University of Sydney. What can you tell me about student life in Sydney? are people friendly? What are some points I should consider or know before making my decision? thanks! Travel Tips Well as a uni student from just south of sydney, you'll have an awesome time...one of my good friends is a uni student on exchange from Mexico and he loves it....Life in Australia is very laid back (especially as a student). the people are really, really friendly.....in Sydney it may be expensive, but not too much.....you'll be in area that is inner city and has great, cheap food resturaunts and live entertainment etc and on the coast so you can go to beaches and things... it is very laidback.... But decide if you want to stay on campus or in a sharehouse etc, share houses can be tricky, but you may not get any work done on campus. Others What cons? There are no cons at all. I wouldn't know about Sydney too much but Australia in general is *ucking awesome, I don't know why you would want to be anywhere else. I'm sure Sydney will wlecome you with open arms. |
