Where to live in sydney??? |
Travel Info we are two girls 23 years old moving to Sydney.. we would like to live near a beach .. we longboard so we would like to have good paths .. and having people our age around is not bad eighter, clubs and some nightlife... but we have no idea where to look .. only thing we know is that our school is somewhere between chatswood and North Sydney.. any suggestions?? Travel Tips Since you are in the north I would recommend the Northern Beaches. It stretches from Palm Beach (where "Home and Away" is filmed) to Manly. In Manly you can catch a ferry to the city easily, and from other areas you can catch a bus to the city (although it takes longer). Or, you could live in Chatswood which has everything you need except for a beach. There are many shops, restaurants, and a big train station and bus stops. however, there isn't much nightlife on the northside. Most of it is in the CBD (city) area, although North Sydney does have some on Fri and Saturday nights. Sydney is a big place so it would be hard to choose. Good luck with your decision! Others 23 and still going to school? or are you teachers? Sorry cant answer your question on Sydney as I have only been there once. Manly Beach and Bondi Beach are the only ones that stood out to me. I would probably go with Manly Beach if it was down to me. Hey girls....my 1st Q is...Why Sydney??? Acommadation is soooo expensive there. Try Melbourne...we have beaches and schools here as well u know! LOL...But i guess being 23 u both want the atmosphere of Sydney...Try going a couple of suburbs away from where your school is...u can always drive to where u need to go. bondi beach area as you are in north sydney manly and suburbs are beautiful you will love it have fun HI Girls, I live in Sydney and I'll let you in on a little secret. Living in the CBD area of Sydney is a drag. Get out into the suburbs and I don't mean Mt Druitt, although I have a lot of friends who live there. I,m talking Central Coast. Woy-Woy rail station is only 40 minutes to Hornsby and then another 30 minutes to your school location. Now, you may think that this is a long time to travel, I don't know what you are used to. But the Beaches up here are glorious, they are pristine beaches with different locations offering different styles of board riding. So girls, I reccomend the Central Coast where it is a more lay back style of living. I Live Here!!! http://www.thecentralcoast.com.au/... |
