Travel Tips
my salarie for a prof job in NZ was about 22000 pounds, in the UK about 30000 pounds. I lived a much better standard of tlife in New Zealand. Rent is easily 3-4 times less (i did live in london). eating out, going out- everything else is so much cheaper. Transport and travel is way cheaper- you can actually afford to do things with your spare time.
in terms of hopso jobs you are looking at 5pounds an hour but- 40 pounds is your rent for a week in a nice share accom.

The world may never know. =D
I don't know but you can give me a condo in Queenstown anytime! I'll take it no questions asked! They can even park the S.S. Earnshaw right in front if they would like!
Hi

Both are considerably less than the UK but you can still have a better standard of living becuase even though the salaries are lower they are still good in terms of the much lower cost of living so over all you eill be better off
Whatever anyone tells you about New Zealand being cheaper than the UK is a load of rubbish. Saleries are a lot less, minimum wage is $11.50 think that works out to be less than 4 pounds. Not sure about the saleries you asked for you could try www.seek.co.nz which is a job search engine.

The only thing that I would say is significantly cheaper over in New Zealand is Real Estate, you can get a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house with a big garden in auckland for $400,000 try getting that in a British city. Still lifestyle over in NZ is better, more outdoors stuff, decent schools and a laid back attitude.
Lived in both countries
Salaries are lower, but it's also cheaper to buy a house. So it's fine if you live there, but moving there temporarily isn't a good way to save up money to buy a place back home!
