Travel Tips government runs the health system i have found it very good but i live in a capital city in the bush it is not as good as to the weather i have lived in Sydney & melbourne & dident like the weather in either go to QLD better weather there Others i know that in Melbourne that each day has all 4 seasons, sometimes twice! I was born and raised there, Sydney is of course a little hotter, but also rains quite a bit too. never had any problems with health so Im not sure on that one, sorry Its the same system, its bad, don't get sick. You get a license to practise medicine at the local pre school over here how is it run? we have free medical if thats what you mean, but only if youre an aussie citizen. melbourne has the 4 typical seasons, sydo has a cold winter and warm the rest of the year. The commonwealth government runs the "Medicare" system but using a 1.5% tax on all taxpaying Australians. Medicare is used when you see a Doctor outside of the hospital system. The Doctor may either "Bulk-bill" the visit to the government in which case you pay nothing out of pocket for the visit - or if the Doctor charges for the visit you can claim some money back from the medicare office. Public hospitals are owned and run by the state governments - in most states all care in the hospital is free - but you get no choice of doctor and there can be long waiting lists for surgery. There is also a private health system for use in private hospitals where the person has additional insurance on top of medicare - you then get a choice of Doctor and usually less waiting time for surgery. My personal opinion is that the weather is better in Sydney than Melbourne (that's not to say that there aren't other things that are great about Melbourne.) hahahahaha,,what the hell does the health system have to do with the weather ????????? |
