it is in the ocean off the coast of australia.
The Great Barrier Reef is off the coast of Queensland, Australia. It is comprised of thrre parts; lower, mid and upper. The main Reef is off Port Douglas.
the great barrier reef extends along the queensland coast starting just south of bundaberg (4hrs north of brisbane) all the way up to the torres straits ( just south of papua new ginuea)
