Travel Tips Take the suburban train from the airport to Central station then - depending on your luggage and the weight you are carrying, you can walk from Central to the Novotel. It is within walking distance and you will get to see Darling Harbour on the way. Or you can take the light rail from out the front of Central Rail to your hotel. One more alternative. walk down from Central Railway to Chinatown - about 200 metres then catch the monorail from there. There is a stop right at the Novotel. But for the time to walk versus the cost, light rail might be better. Hope this helps Others hi, town hall station is the closest to darling harbour. it is about $12 by train, and takes 15 minutes. It is about $30 by cab, so if there is 2 or more people, it is better to take a cab.
