What should i do with myself in Sydney over the next month? Anybody recommend anything fun and unique?

Travel Info
I am in Sydney from Wednesday the 20th of December and will be there until the 11th of January, can anybody reccommend stuff to do? I love film, theatres, gigs, drinking (hehe), eating out (i'll be with the girlfriend) and i love experiencing new sights and places, HELP!!!

Travel Tips
I would recommend the bridge climb it takes about three hours but the views are amazing from the top

Doyles at Watson Bay (get a ferry there) is really nice if you like seafood

I would agree that Manly is a nicer beach than Bondi (I was a bit disappointed with it)

If you like your wine I would recommend a trip to one of the vineyards

Worth checking out to see what is on at the Theatre - we saw Lion King when we were over there and it was great

There's so much to do and see you still won't be able to fit eveything in

You could have a day at the zoo and get your photo taken with the Koalas

If you haven't anything planned for New Years Eve book a boat trip when you get there the views of the fireworks are amazing from the river Source(s): Was there for Xmas & New Year 2 years ago
I'm sooo jealeaous
Have a fab time

Other Travel Tips
Take your girlfriend to the revolving restaurant! For $50 Aus (拢20 or $40 US Dollars) you get to eat as much as you want and see the best view of the city.

Manly Beach beats Bondi hands down. Catch the ferry from the harbour.

The rocks has nice sites and a really gorgeous market. Nice restaurants and shops down that way.

Dalling Harbour is amazing. Theres a casino and lots of the big clubs. The IMAX cinema and botanical gardens are also situated there.

Queen Elizabeth Building is where all the buses stop but is also a little centre for shopping, its quite historical inside.

For tacky gifts (amazing, yet tacky) head towards Paddys market, gifts for the friends like the obligatory cork hat can be purchased for next to nothing.

Dont forget things like the Harbour bridge climb where you get to actually climb the bridge and just generally hanging out at the Opera house.

Kings Cross is full of travellers and some really nice bars, its a short walk from George Street through Hyde park.

Have lots and lots of fun!
there is a lot to do in Sydney. If you have a car or are game for a little train ride the blue mountains are really cool. They are just a little west of Sydney. The fairy ride from the manly to the harbor is suppose to be incredible. The bridge climb is suppose to be an unforgettable view. It is a little expensive though so I never did it. I think it is about 160 Ausy dollars a person. I would check out hillsong church on one of your weekends. You can get directions at www.hillsong.com click on Church, then get to, or go to contact us and they can give you directions. I am not sure as what restaurants to go to I was in Sydney for collage so I had a very limited budget and didn't eat out a lot. Sydney is cool just to walk around in. At night walking around circular key is really cool. during they day you can walk through the botanical gardens. Cafe D'wheels is a spot you need to go and get a meet pie. It is an Ausy thing. If you aren't an Ausy it is something you need to do. Good luck have a good time.
