The Sdney opra house or the brigde by it you can tour in at the bottom or the top but that's all i know There are heaps of places you can visit. Depends on your preferences. Most people list the Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Botannical Gardens, Centrepoint Tower, Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, Western Plains Zoo. I would suggest that you log on to this website & select the places you feel most inclined to see. http://www.visitnsw.com.au/ Personal experience Just out of Sydney are the Blue Mountains, well worth a look. Also get on a Manly Ferry, really great way to see the harbour. Featherdale Wildlife Zoo or something. Its great. near Blacktown Bondi Beach is excellent. My daughter lives at Bronte and its nice too. You can get a bus to all the Sydney beaches from the city, as well as buses from one beach to the next. Another one is Clovelly beach. Make sure you get the beach buses though as the shops can be a long way from the beach! (Don"t get on the Bondi Junction bus unless you want to go shopping) Darling Harbour is beautiful to walk around and have a meal (you'll find the Maritime museum, the Sydney Aquarium & the Museum of Arts & Sciences) & you can get a water taxi across the harbour to Circular Quay, where you'll find the Opera House & The Rocks (historical area with some great pubs) as well as the Museum of Modern Art. You can climb to the top of the Harbour bridge but do it at night as its too hot just now for day time climbing. The festival of Sydney is on all January so look out for special events especially at Darling harbour, Hyde Park & the Domain. Randwick Race Course is another short bus ride. Dont forget the Harbour Fireworks on Australia Day! Get there early & set up a spot for the best views. |
