Does anyone know of any reasonable accomodation available in Sydney? Something that's around $65/拢35 a night? |
Travel Info ...or does anyone know of any good serviced apartments in Sydney? Travel Tips there is an organisation called YHA - youth hostels association which is a worldwide network of safe clean hostels. i dont know prices in auz as it is my home country i have never stayed in one there but i did join yha 5 years ago when i went to canada. i stayed about 1/2 an hour out of central vancouver in a dorm of 4 to a room for $19 canadian per night. i think thats around 拢8 it's definatly lees than 拢10. so if you dont mind sharing there it's VERY cheap, some have single rooms, obviously they cost a bit more but the great thing is you can meet many other travellers. there is one near pitt street which is dead in the centre of sydney literally 1 minutes walk from central station. you pay a joining fee (choices below) for a optional amount of time which you have to do to stay in them but they are safe if you are travelling alone, and you will also meet alot of travellers of around you age and they are CLEAN which is so important, especially for the bathroom. it's not a serviced apartment but for the cost making your own bed, i think, is worth it. http://www.yha.org.uk/ Individual 拢15.95 Available to all. Includes your children or young people under 18 travelling with you. Joint / Family 拢22.95 For 2 adults living at the same address. U26 2 year 拢16.50 U26 3 year 拢20.95 Group 拢25.50 Organisations that are predominantly adult and social groups. Young Persons Group 拢10.00 For organisations consisting of or set up to help people under 26. Life 拢210.00 Individual membership available to people of all ages from England and Wales. Annual Life 拢47 x 5 Individual membership where payment is made in instalments of 拢47 over 5 years. Others Just fnd a hostel on the net, they're really cheap There is plenty of cheap affordable accommodation in sydney. Almost any backpackers would be good. If you want extremely central good clean accommodation than i recommend wakeup (www.wakeup.com.au) or YHA (youth hostel australia) the one near central station www.yha.com.au. Either of these offer a variety of options for travellers and depending on how many people to a room can be relatively cheap. If you arent into backpackers than cheap hotels are ones booked online at the last minute.Sites such as www.wotif.com are useful in that regard. Goodluck finding a place :D If you want a reasonable accommodation, I suggest the Crest Hotel in Sydney. The hotel is very nice and clean and it has an awesome location on King's Cross. It might cost a little higher than what you're looking for, probably around 10-15 dollars higher, but it's worth it. Besides, you'll probably save a little on transportation costs. If you want something to your budget or below, it would be very hard to find a nice hotel or serviced apartment. You might have to stay somewhere small or maybe at a backpackers hotel. I recommend you check out www.excelloz.com for more information on Sydney hotels and accommodation. For that price, in Sydney, either a backpacker's hostel or in a gutter somewhere. Oh, and I've heard sleeping under motorway bypasses isn't too bad either. You might find a serviced motorway bypass somewhere in the western suburbs. Serviced apartments in Sydney are more like $200 a night. It isn't the 1970's anymore. |
