Travelling from London to Australia in April. Am I able to initially just pay a deposit and the rest later? |

Do most travel agents accept a deposit to allow you to hold a flight booking and you can then pay later? Also what kind of deposit is usual? But all the travel agents we went to said you cant do it like that and you have to pay the full amount up front. So i think this will probably be the same for you. From experience, air lines and travel agents demand the full price up front. If you are wanting flight only then you will have to pay the full amount. The only way you would get away with paying a deposit is if you booked a package with a travel agent, the the deposit would be around 拢150per person. I have never had a problem paying a deposit to an agent, an paying the remainder a few months later. You usually need to pay the final balance 2 months before you fly. Austravel and trailfinders are big agents who can accommodate your needs. If you won't have the money before march, only a month before you leave, maybe just save the money and pay up front in march. You don't need to book a long way in advance to secure cheapest tickets like you had do do a few years ago. Airlines are always coming up with last minute deals for long haul. (Long haul pricing works very differently to short haul.) Last year in March, i booked tickets to Melbourne from London with 4 days notice flying Malaysian Air (decent airline) for 拢620. |
