Would is be very expensive to rent a studio apt. or 1 bedroom apartment near the beach in Sydney Austailia? |
Travel Info I will be moving from Chicago to Sydney for 2 years with my company - what can I expect to pay in Australian dollars monthly for rent in a studio apt or 1 bedroom near the beach. Also do they do credit checks for renters in australia? Would they run a credit check on someone for the US renting an apartment? Travel Tips you can probably get one for about $250-300 a week or more. It really depends where it is. Bondi is probably one of the most expensive options. Here we usually pay rent weekly or fortnightly. Real estate agents don't usually do credit checks, they just wanna check that you have a job, how much you earn etc to prove you can pay the rent. They may want some kind of reference, but not sure how they would work that out if you are from another country. They will probably just contact your company and verify everything. the websites youcancon suggested are good for looking. another good one that lists rentals is justlisted.com.au Others .................. i dont know go to yahoo then click on real estate and http://realestate.yahoo.com/ or just click here dont know the answer, but I liked the question and want to see what people will tell you (haven't figured out how to activate the 'watchlist' yet) It would depent on a lot of things, noth, south, east or west of the CBD or even if you lived in one of the suberbs on or near the beach, for house go to http://www.realestate.com.au and http://www.domain.com.au once you get an address go to http://www.whereis.com.au and see if its close to the beach, as long as you can pass a ID check, that should be fine, (100points). sydneys rail network can be found http://www.cityrail.com.au Hey, Really depends on which side of the city you will be living on. Bondi Etc would be around (AUS)$350 + and if you go to the Northern Beaches it would be around $300 +. |
