Has anyone been to Kings Cross, Sydney? |
Travel Info Did you stay at the Palms? That place was incredible!! Travel Tips No we stayed at friends house in one of the suburbs of Sydney. We enjoyed coming into Sydney on a train and even used the water taxi. Our favorite place was Center Point Tower after dark. I enjoyed all the opal shopping. Others yea man! whata fu**ing place,sorry for swearing but.....Jesus some real 'mad memories' from there....good times! the joy of backpacking eh........choice! yes I stayed in the Jolly Swagman hostel there, it was lovely listening to some of the arguments in the night. I also liked Macdonalds policy of letting the down and outs sit in there. Will definately stay there next time in Sydney. Went to kings cross when i was backpacking but wasn't keen on the area as it was a bit seedy. The place i stayed for a few nights had drug dealers openly dealing on the street and prostitutes loitering round all the time right outside. Was good for a few laughs at some of the sights, but i moved into the city (footprints westend on pitt street) for the rest of my time in sydney and enjoyed it heaps more. Agree with other comment just above - was funny looking at all the losers that mcdonalds allow to sit in there. Some of them were so off their faces on drugs i don't think they even knew which country they were in.. Good memories |
