Hope it helps and have a great time. i went to Jamaica in 01 and it was great!! defiantly go with an all inclusive package. i stayed in negril which was about a 2 hour bus ride from the airport in kingston. with the all inclusive my flight, room, food, drinks, and tip for the week was all taken care of. my friends and i still left the resort and went up and down the 7 mile beach and went to the bars at the other resorts and clubs. we went on a cruise and cliff jumping, the water was perfect. i recently went to montego bay, if you want to see the real jamaica, dont make the same mistake! its very touristy and not jamaican at all. we spent a day in negril and wished we'd gone with our first instinct to spent the 2 weeks there. we looked at a apartment at www.negril-treehouse.com, it was really nice there and we had a lovely meal, there are hundreds of places to stay in negril and you will feel that you are in jamaica more than you would in montego bay. we also climbed dunns river which was great but then found that there are waterfalls in negril to be climbed. try to go to ricks cafe, its a great place to watch the sunset and cliff divers, and a good place to chill out and listen to some music. well worth the trip |
