Can I open a permanent Bank account in Australia, even if Im not there yet? |
Travel Info I am immigrating to Australia in February, and to make life a little easier I want to know if it鈥檚 possible to open a Bank account before I even go there, I already have a Tax Number (Worked there for 2 months but used my Dads bank account). So which bank (If any) allows you to open a bank account aboard and which bank do you think is the best for a recent graduate? Travel Tips You can open an account from overseas, and upon arrival you just go to the bank and do the paperwork. Others You need to produce a number of original ID papers ( it's point based) to open an account, I can't see how it can be done unless you are here. nah ya cant ! unless you have a visa. and a credit card is impossible to get unless ya have the visa. best bet would be a visia card that allows ya to use your own money for transaction than credit. That will work for you here. I think you will be able to do it because you have PR visa and TFN. Visit www.hsbc.com.au and www.commbank.com.au and try openning account over online. |
