Is dundas valley in sydney a good place to live in?? |
Travel Info Iam new to sydney, some of my friends r saying dundas valley is not a good place to live in,we thought of finding a house to rent in dundas but as friends r saying not good we r in dilemma.Can anyone suggest whether it is good place??and also i dont know what school is there as my son is 7 yrs old,is there a good school??? Travel Tips Dunda doesn't have the best reputation because there used to be, and still are, many public housing in and around Dundas, Rydalmere, Telopea, Ermington areas. Public housing seem to attract non-favourable publicity. Having said that, Dundas isn't a bad area in Sydney by any means. There are many good public schools around and when your kid goes to high school, there are even better options with public and private schools. Others Oh, lovely place. Just make sure you're locked inside after dark. And tell your son to watch out for the burnt out cars on the way to school. They may still be burning from the night before. Live in Balmain. Thats were I lived when I was there for 3 months. It's lovely, pretty central and cheap(ish). I have now officially fallen in love with Sydney (the place, not a man called Sydney) Dundas Valley is an up coming suburb that used to consist of a good deal of government housing much of which has recenty been sold to the occupants. Some nearby suburbs such as Ermington, Rydalmere and West Ryde are a bit more affluent. There are some good schools nearby, my nephew attends Ermington Public which has a very good reputation. Live here Yes I definately agree on Balmain,it's wonderful there.Glebe also - both are very family orientated but urban and villagey. I also reccomend Elizabeth Bay,Paddington Bondi,Rose bay. If youre not very urban or rich - Castle hill,Baulkham Hills,The Blue Mountains,Chatswood/Roseville. You could'nt pay me to live in Dundas,but I dont really know the area. Use domain.com.au or realestate.com.au select rent and put in your weekly budget. Have lived everywhere in Sydney from the western surburbs to the eastern suburbs. |
