Nightlife in Sydney?

I am visiting Sydney in Feb for 2 weeks - is the nightlife any good, can people recommend good bars and clubs?

There are free newspapers in most pubs in and around the city which list the bars and clubs. Just pick them up and check them out. If you want the gay scene, which is huge, Oxford St Darlinghurst and King St Newtown are the places to go. They are worth visiting even if you are straight.

If you are going to be in Sydney on Saturday 3 March, don't miss the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade from Whitlam Square up Oxford St and Flinders St. You will be joining half a million people to watch the world's biggest gay parade.

Nightlife in Sydney is superb, try Bungalow 8 in Darling Harbour, or just out of town is the Crows Nest Pub in Falcon Street, Crows Nest, they have live bands on 3~4 nights a week and are open until the early hours.
for nightlife: hugo's Lounge, hemmisphere, ruby rabbit, saphiresuite, lady lux, icebergs, all within proximity to each other.
china town - great 4 cheap eats,surry hills- great little cafe's. bronte beach - great cafes by the beach. also over harbour bridge, manly, neutral bay as well, some great restaurants.
All the bars around the Harbour are really good day and night. Also there's a Chinese restaurant called Golden Century (393-399 Sussex St). They are open till 4am. This is the best Chinese food I have ever had in my life. It's a wonderful place. Best to book.
