If u were born in Australia u can be one.

but...
if u were born in the u.s. like i was or some other country than your going to have to move to Australia and live there for about 14 yrs... somewhere about there and then after about 14 years of living there they'll give u a Australia passport. If one of your parents was born in Australia then it will take you less years to become a Australia citizen.

i dont think your going to do this but since you werent born in australia (right?) then u cant run for Australia president even if ur a australia citizen. Only australia citizens that were borned in australia can run for president there. same rule as other countries.

Unless you were born in Australia or are married to an Australian citizen you need to be resident in Australia for at least 2 years before you can apply for citizenship. However, the rules may soon be changed so that you must be resident for 4 years, pass an English language test AND pass a test on Australian knowledge.
