What is the temperature in Australia, Sydney in June/July?

Travel Info
I am going there this year at the end on June until mid July. Can someone please advise me of the temperature there and what kind of weather to expect? I would like to know what kind of clothes would be suitable. I heard that it's winter there in June/July. I live in England and if someone could compare it to a month here that would really help me. Thanks

Travel Tips

Very hot i should think...they are having there worst drought in 100 years apparently
Went there - Melbourne - in July 1994 to see old friend...it was like Norwich in February! On average, it was 5c (41f) - it's mid winter then.
Chrissy (bless her) is a wee bit out, with her -25...but it's sure as dammit not warm! A couple of jumpers wouldn't do you any harm, Di.
