Can i get a job as a carpet fitter in australia.what are the rates of pay?

i will be travelling to australia in july.i want to stay there for 6 months.i am a domestic carpet fitter in the uk.ideally i would like to work as a trainee commercial floor fitter for a few months,so i can come back to uk and start my own commercial flooring buisness.However if i get a good enjoyable job i mite stay in australia for longer

I guess you would just go to flooring shops and ask for work...... Some would want you to have ur own tools tho. My hubby is a vinyl floor installer........ market is a bit slow at the moment........
