The quickest route is: Sydney, Gundagai, Wagga Wagga, Hay, turn left just before Balranald to Piangil, Manangatang, Ouyen, Pinaroo, Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge, Adelaide. An alternative is to turn right off the Hume Highway just south of Yass and go through Harden, Cootamundra, Junee, Coolamon, Narrandera, Hay. A longer route is to go west from Sydney through Bathurst, Cowra, Grenfell, West Wyalong, Hay.
