Travel Info i am an interantional student studying accounting in australia and hoping to get a job here once i finished. what is the process that i have to go through to get a sponsor so that my application is stronger....or how do i go about getting a job offer first so that i can make an application as most employers want you to already have youe immigration papers in order first but you can do this without a job offer first etc etc Travel Tips G'day, I used to be an international student in Australia as well. In regards to jobs, first... it is best that you make your grades as high/good as possible. Secondly, you will also need to have a good English skill both written and spoken. These points are extremely important, since you will be competing with the other Australian applicants and without the advantage of these 2 points, there's no incentives for the employer to take you. Remember as well that as an international students, you have not got much work experience, compared with the Australians, so that's another 'minus' point for you. Were/are you studying the CPA subjects? Associate membership of CPA will gives more 'umph' towards your qualifications. For international students fresh graduates, the university will be the first starting point for job applications.
