You must try Dim Tai Fung - there's one branch on Xing-Yi road, an other is located in ZhongXiao Don Lu - they do dumplings, steamed buns and other traditional snacks - all fantastic. 2. The night markets of course - try a 'hao da da ji pai' at Shi Ling Night-market. Rao-he Nightmarket is also great! 3. ZhongXiao Don-Lu area has plenty of restaurants! 4. If you crave Pizza then check out Alley Cats which is just off Xing-Yi Lu and is considered to be the best pizza in Taipei - the house red wine is great as well! (Actually, Alley-Cats has changed is cheff and by the looks of it - it's management as well - the last 2 times I went it was a joke, I asked for a 4 cheese pizza - they only used Mozarella, I complained - they took the pizza back and then added 4 times as much mozarella - forgetting the other 3 cheeses. I complained on the way out asking if they have changed cheff and they actually admitted that they have - no wonder)! Others depends on what kin d of food you want Most good western restaurants are in TienMu, just walk around a bit, you'll find one. Or try La Casita mexican at SOngJiang road lane 64, or KunMing On Fuxing N Road lane 8...7? 84? Just behind the back, next to the high school one alley back. Check out the blog a hungry girls guide to taipei, she's pretty right on good restaurants? well there are lots of food courts in every big malls. and as for good restaurants, there are many along fuxin N. road, and in 101 like ir china....... Try out alleycats www.alleycats.com.tw They have some good pizza Tienmu has a few good ones if you can get out there! Try Rosemary's Kitchen! It's beautiful and delicious. There is one in central Taipei and also one in XinDian by the bridge really close to the MRT. The one in XinDian has a great ambiance, and a stroll on the bridge after dinner is nice. experience Please please DO visit an Italian restaurant in Taipei 101. The Diamond Tony's. They serve the best italian food i've ever tasted! I will definately go back there one day! The website itself does not say much about the food there.
