Hi, I will be going to taipei and thinking of going to keelung or taoyuan?Any recommendations and how to go? |
Travel Info I will be staying at Ximenting area. N I am thinking of going taoyuan or keelung...but i dont know how to go there and how long will it take to reach there. I cannot find any information on them too..lol.so can any of you help me ? thanks alot =) Travel Tips If you're flying to Taipei, you're actually arriving at the Taoyuan airport, that's the international airport there. Dunno if the MRT has the train from there to Taipei yet or not. If you're hanging near Keelung, I HIGHLY recommend a day in Jiu Fen... it's a little terraced village in the mountains just outside of Keelung, with great teahouses and sunsets, as well as good sightseeing (the ruins of the first movie theater ever built in Asia are there). Nice way to spend a casual afternoon, then go into Keelung for some seafood! Others You could take the train from the Taipei Rail Station next to Ximenting to either Keelung or Taoyuan. From Taipei to Keelung: travel time: 37 to 43 min depending on which train you take From Taipei to Taoyuan: travel time: 26 to 37 min depending on which train you take Have a good trip! Hi, Keelung would be a better choice as there is a lot to see there , as well as plenty to eat at Miaokow and Bisha. Also from Keelung, you can head for Yeliou or Jioufen for more scenic beauty of Taiwan.
