Travel Tips
I am half Taiwanese and I've lived there for 8 years, so if you are gonna go out with a Taiwanese exchange student, you can be hella sure that there are going to be lots of quietness...awkward quietness... And burping! I grew up there and still don't see what's wrong with burping, though my boyfriend does find it kinda cute...

Also, if you are a TYPICAL American boy, white, tall, turns lobster-red under the sun, she will not mind even if you acted dumb...and that's the truth...sadly...

And try to learn a few words in Madarin, it will make her laugh when you said it wrong...I still laugh when people say things funny, lol

Hope you have a good date!

Be yourself. If you try something to mimic her/his culture it may come across the wrong way. It could be a turn off.
Americans are dumb, please don't call yourself down like that. I'm a Canadian, have had a total of 7 Taiwanese students reside at my home. I will say they are very much a head of us in learning. You can be an exchange student yourself if want, just go to your school principle and ask him. If attending Church ask there to.
You will enjoy it there. Good luck

Taiwanese loves foreigners (especially Americans) and would BR.....AG about it among their frens when they get one (even artistes do that too on TV). Generally, they like the cool hip hop style. Thus, dun act dumb, just act cool.
Just be yourself. I have dated Taiwanese before, but not exchange students, and I did just that, be myself.
making conversation and no touching........
Be prepared for burping and nose picking and padded bras.

No offend.

Burping while eatting food is definitely is their culture "they say". Am I joking? No! I am serious.
