Hot and humid, I mean really humid.
This time of year- hot and humid as he said.
generally 26 degrees celcius to 35 degrees. The hottest part of the day is from 11:00 Am to 3 PM. depending on where you are it is often cloudy. Taipei and the NE has a bit more rain than other parts of the island. The south bit Kaosiung is really hot and humid but doesnt rain as much.

typhoons occasionally come through from Apr-Sept but you usually have at least 3 days warning nowadays so you can prepare to stay inside for the day or two that they hang around.

Fall, Winter and Spring are quite pleasant to make up for the long wet uncomfortable summers. From October to April it is quite good. you may need to put on long pants, warm hats and fall clothes in the depths of January and February it gets chilly. It goes below 10 degrees on occasion then and indoor heating is not common here. the air is wet so cold penetrates here. But at least there is colorful flowers available year round to view.
It actually depends on what part of Taiwan you will go to...Taipei (north) is generally cooler than the other parts but it often rains there and during winter Taipei really cold compared with the other regions. If you are going to the central part of Taiwan (Taichung) then expect an irregular climate/weather. Sometimes, it is really really hot especially from july-september and not so humid and winter is not so cold. Expect the weather to change within a day.In the morning, it might be cool then it quickly becomes very very hot! And as for the south part (Kaohsiong) it is really very humid and hot.
