Taiwanese light repast? |
Travel Info I want to ask to be Taiwanese to have what delicious of a light repast? Travel Tips ? um interesting grammar... Try asking it this way: "what is a normal light meal for a Taiwanese person?' Most people like to eat something called Shao-Chr. (streetfood at streetvendors) There are as many different kinds as there are street vendors. favorites include dumplings, fried chicken, fried mushrooms. more interestingly you can see Ke-Li-Bing. (a thin hard crusty pancake wrap with whatever you can imagine inside it.) Many people like to eat at 4-5 different vendors over the evening and get a meat dish, a veggie dish, often a local fruit dish like watermelon or longgan, and order tall cold fruity teas, and sometimes have some kind of soup with it altogether. YUM! Others On a cold winter evening, nothing beats Chicken porridge with century egg bits and Chinese dough stick pieces (in Chinese: 闆炶倝绮ュ姞鐨泲锛屽啀鍔犳补姊濄€? With any porridge, you always get portioned 娌规 pieces (placed inside a small ziplock apart from the porridge to prevent it from soaking) to go with the meal. However, I'm a bit fussy, so I always take two packs of 娌规 pieces with me. Soybean milk, rice milk, baoz, dumplings, fried rice, beef noodle, fried oyster with eggs, fried noodle,congee,..........many |
