"Onestar hotel " at Chongcing S.Rd was open in August 2006, its a new one. If stay there
you can walk to HsinKong Mitsukoshi department store, opposite side of Taipei main station.Or just go to the main station. MRT, Taiwan railway and Taiwan high speed rail are underground at different floors also can go shopping at underground street to buy something and have meals there.

Checked website of onestar hotel,
No.18, Sec.1 ChungHwa Rd. shows its name is "WonstarHotel" , but from picture of building can see "OnestarHotel ", not sure is it the same hotel?
This hotel is not far from the onestarhotel which located in Chongcing S.Rd. And it's located in a good place,too.
You can walk to XiMenDing to buy clothes shoes... etc, and watch movie.

PS:
I just passed by the onestar hotel at Chongcing S.Rd on July 2rd, it's closed and not on business,don't know when will be open again.

Chongqing S Rd is One Star - close to Taipei Station, MRT , also known as book street (In between Taipei Station and Ximenting) New Renovated

Chunghua Rd Sec 1 is Wonstar - Close to Ximenting: Ximen MRt, Food, shopping -Renovated a year n half ago
Chongcing S. Road is better, cause it's beside the MRT, Railway station and department stores
