What do i say to a stranger in the streets? |

Travel Tips If the stranger is a "lao wai", just ask them what their name is, what they do for a living, and if they haven't rushed off somewhere, ask them for their phone number or their e-mail address. If the stranger is Taiwanese, don't do this. You will seem very strange to them and maybe even a little dangerous... If you are a lao wai, hopefully the Taiwanese person you accost will just think you're a crazy lao wai and walk away. If you're Taiwanese (or any other Asian) and you do this, you will generally NOT get a good reaction. Don't do this.
