I live in Ohio and my parents live in Wyoming and sometimes it takes up to 2 weeks.. Most of the time its there in 1 week.. So you are probably looking at a little longer, unless you ship it express or something that way it gets there faster.. Just have to pay for that.. I live in California and it takes about 1 to 1.5 weeks. It takes just about a week, same for the other direction as well. The Taiwanese postal service is extremely efficient. The bulk of the mailing time occurs while the letter is in transport outside of Taiwan. anywhere from 2 days if you pay for express to (up to) 2 weeks for a standard letter size. It generally wont go past that amount of time. for large packages if you use sea it can take up to 2 months, sometimes as little as one month if you are lucky. if you pay for air its the same as a standard letter, depending on how much you want to pay. --it is ok to use pinyin (it will arrive), but even faster/better if you use traditional chinese characters for the address. (I lost a few issues of National geographic in the past because they couldnt figure out the pinyin. I suspect it was either that or covetous neighbors.) Usally between 10 and 14 days. Sometimes you are lucky and it is sooner, sometimes not and it takes longer. Lived in Taiwan for two years |
