Why Taiwanese parents don't say "It is bad" or "don't do that"?

When they are in public child screaming. And parents don't care about it. And I heard that they consider it as child is happy. "So let them be happy~!".

Simply don't understand.

I've seen so many.........

Is it another cultural stuff or something???

if kids scream in the park, it's normal. if kids scream in party, in malls, in the street, it's not normal anymore. Parents should do something. It annoys other people.

Its a global problem. You see its a much harder job to be a good parent, and teach your children right from wrong, morals, good behaviour, respect , consideration, maners, etc..than it is to be a bad parent and let your child get away with anything!Bad parents don't put the required amount of effort into raising their children.There is no bad children , there is however an abundance of lazy parents..
need to give the kid a swift kick in the butt to get him quiet, it worked with my kids are they grow up great kids.

its the problem every where which countries parents are so busy to gave attention kids very well... here in Taiwan parents don't care kids.... so kids going to free.... what they want ... they want with power... and parents gave them ... then when grow up ... so they don't care parents.... because they not punished in childhood... its must be control... when they screaming in public or doing some thing wrong...parents must be care of them in childhood... other wise its problem in future...Me my self in my 40s ,but still afraid from my parents ..... I was punished all the time in my childhood when i do something wrong.... even I cant smoke in front of my elders.... its respect or what i don't know... but here no this respect here any more......
It's a bit strange in Taiwan.

I've taught here for a few years and parents seem to have difficulty finding the middle ground.

You often see many spoilt kids doing whatever the hell they like and the parents can't find a single fault with their beloved off-spring.

On the other hand, some parents are so strict that the kids often develop psychological problems. I've had a few students who's parents push them so hard that they have started sprouting white hairs and talking to themselves - really poor kids.

There are balanced families, as a teacher you can normally tell - these kids tend to be a pleasure to teach.

It's really annoying going to a restaurant at 9pm and having kids running around knocking your table and screaming while their lethargic parents sit around like veg tables. Even worse, going to the cinema at 10pm and having screaming kids ruin the movie! Studying in cafes with kids running around (again the parent don't really care about what others think).

If and when my partner and I have children, I won't be taking to annoy other people. At the end of the day - kids are kids, they will scream and laugh and play around - it's healthy. Just their parents should be considerate of other peoples feelings.
