How can i know if the recruitment agency im applying to go to taiwan is registered in poea? |
Travel Info jhianni manpower international w/ poea lic.#025 052005 PL; 018 LB 060106 UL located at j nakpil st. corner san marcelino st. malate, manila Travel Tips Be VERY!!! careful of recruitment agencies in Taiwan. They are bad at best. And yes, I mean BAD not GOOD. They suck foreigners to Taiwan with promises and then you get scr*wed by them after you arrive. I am not saying that they are all like that, but they have sure worked hard to make themselves look bad. Make sure that they process your "Work Visa" before you come. If they are supplying accommodation and transportation, then they should send you copies of th receipts as well. There are Foreign Affairs offices in Taiwan so make sure you get the number for the one in the city where you will be living. They should pay for your transportation fees as well. Do not let them tell you to send ANY money. Also, they get paid by the school, not you. They cannot ask you for money. If you get everything done and have more questions, please post again. There are a few foreigners that frequent this area of Yahoo Answers and I am sure that they will try to help you. I don't want to scare you by sounding too negative, but you have to be careful, especially when dealing with these recruitment agents. There are MANY horror stories here about these recruitment agencies, and I know that many of these stories are true. Others Hi, Why don't you check with MECO: http://www.meco.ph/contact.html... Here in Taiwan, the Philipinos contact them when they have some problems. If this Agency in sending people to Taiwan, then they should have some information. |
