What to wear in taipei if i'm visiting in early May? |

Travel Tips Hi, - I'd bring fairly light weight clothing, no need for sweaters and jackets unless you're going up any mountains. - Try ro avoid wearing too much black clothing as mosquitos are attracted to it (they are starting to come into season now). - You could either have an umbrella handy or just go to any 7-11 here (you can find them everywhere) and buy a cheap yet effective poncho as the weather in Taiwan can be very unpredictable. - It might be a good idea to bring sandals as when in rains you don't want to ruin your best shoes (now when I say it rains - think power shower kind of rain, you'll get soaked through in 20 seconds). - expect the weather to be very humid and around 22 - 32 degrees in the day and 19 - 20 at night. To Get to Fisherman's Wharf, Take the MRT from Taipei main station to Danshui and change to bus Red 26. Get off at the last stop. You can also take short Ferry ride from outside Danshui MRT Station to Pali and Fisherman's Wharf. I've been to Taiwan, and they wear normal clothes. Just try not to wear too fancy clothes. Just plain clothes and jeans will do fine. light summer clothes. comfy sandals with a heel strap so they aren't flipping off everywhere. a windbreaker that you can pack away in a pinch. an umbrella in case you get caught in a rain shower. In may they happen fast, and leave just as fast. the umbrella may also come in handy if you need shelter from the sun beating down on your head, it can get a bit hot if you are walking around in the city. (a good option if you are female.) If you are male (or a female who doesnt mind wearing a hat) bring a light hat (think baseball hat or light cowboy type hat you could scrunch up in your bag easily) t shirts and shorts, umbrella. And it's quite hot and very humid. |
