Bangkok question? |
Travel Info 1. i'm staying at babylon barrack, it is far from the city? where is it? 2. chatucak weekend market...what time does it open and close? is it the cheapest place to shop or there are other place where we can find best bargain? 3. tailor siut. they say that it is really cheap to make a suit in bangkok plus they say it is really quick. is it true. 4. what other interesting place to do in bangkok? siem paragon is it cheap to shop there? thanks Travel Tips Are you sure you're going to stay Babylon Barracks? It's very close to the world famous "Babylon" and is centrally located. I have never stayed there but if you want to enjoy shopping or sightseeing, it's not the right place. If you plan to enjoy some sort of life style in Bangkok, well you are one the right path. Custom made suit is cheap but I do not recommend as the quality is less than you paid for. Other interesting places, I think it's better to ask the reception at the Babylon. Google babylon for more information. Have an amazing trip to Bangkok! Others 1. sorry i don`t know 2. 08:00 - 18:00 on weekends and Fridays (not really sure for the time on friday) and yes it is one of the best and cheapest place in thailand. 3. yes making suit is cheap in thailand, it should not cause you more then 4000 bath 4.siam paragon .... well go to Jatujak first. you will get almost every thing there I guess you are in Bangrak district ( but not sure) if so you can find MRT to go around BKK with one-day ticket, ask for more detail at MRTstation. Chatuchak is able to reach there via MRT as well. nice and coll place for shopping reasonable price , bargaining available but not much 5-20% from 1st telling price. Tailor suit is cheapest and quickest in Thailand , buy it and you 'll never regret, 3500-4500THB. for 3 days. Siam paragon, emporium, MBK, Siam square are well known shopping places but prices vary and considering higher than Chatuchak. Cultural and sight seeing tour by boat , ticket available at many hotel. there is full day tour or half day tour by boat to see temples, Thia's life style both side of Chaophaya river. Some other attractions around BKK such as Ayutthaya lots of old temple to see 400-500 yrs ago., ancient city in Samutprakarn, Floating market, Koh Kret an island in Nontaburi - place for shopping clay works and souvenir. Nightlife every where for getting some fun or dancing, Khosarn rd. , Silom, Sukhumvit soi 3, Thonglor may be your choice. Enjoy staying Thailand then. http://www.bangkokcitytourist.info/bangk... 1. Not sure 2. I would suggest you go there between 10 - 11am, because the other time I went there at 9am, many shops wasn't opened yet. For cheap bargains can try out MBK. 3. I heard so too but people said that the quality not that good, the cheaper ones might used staples instead of sewing, so watch out. 4. You can check out the floating market, MBK and chatuchak is highly recommended. Stuffs at Siam paragon at for the upmarket but the movies are considered cheap and affordable. Bobae market is another choice for you for markets. Suits are cheap, but again, personally i would buy a suit thats only 3000 or 4000 baht, ure more likely to get a poly suit rather then a wool. Siam Paragon is where the 'real' things are sold. No fakes, no copies, only the original stuff..and expensive stuff. http://www.thailandfashion.net/index.php... http://www.mbk-center.co.th/en/index.asp... http://www.crowntailor.com |
