The best thing to do in Phuket is to grab a boat to Phi Phi. I'm not the romantic type, but driving for an hour on a motorbike to watch the sunset at the southern tip of the island with my gf was a pretty memorable experience, so I'd suggest that too. My last piece of advice, avoid Patong if you can. Not bad, but the beached just south of it are so much better and alot less crowded.
