Anyone stay in Thailand Bangkok, PJ Watergate Hotel before? |
Travel Info Need advise on this hotel. Location wise issit convienent to any part of Bangkok. And does taxi drivers know tat that Hotel. It is very run down looks.. in terms of room & overall.. Thanks! Travel Tips I don't think it's the best hotel in Bangkok, but it looks cheap. Never been there, but as for location, it is very central to some of the places in Bangkok you'd want to go, such as Pratunam or Baiyoke Sky Hotel and Restaurant. Other Travel Tips I don't know anything about the hotel that you want to stay at, but I do know is if you went to www.bankok.com . You could find anything there is to know about Thailand. As far as where to go, what to do, and where to stay when you get there. I know, I used the site to plan my trip to Thailand for the month of June. Check it out you might like what you find. www.bangkok.com I 've never stayed here but i know where it is . it's OK location close to many shopping attraction such as Pratunam, Pantip, Ratdumri ( or Ratchaprasong shopping street) and it's easy for Taxi to find out , just give the right name of the area and soi no. to taxi , Taxi should understand if you give the right direction such as the area calls Pratunam and the hotel is oposite Indra hotel be carefuk because it is one way traffic road , if taxi miss it may take long hr. to return., room rate is reasonable , not sure about the room 's quality, normally OK with 30-35US$ rate, should be clean enough to sleep and safe enough to stay. If you cant find any other hotel in relative website that our friends recommend above, stay here , there is nothing wrong. You can walk to Central world on Ratdumri rd. or walk ahead to Ratprasong junction which is having large area of Buddha shirne where is connected to other places via BTS ( sky train ) and MRT (under ground train ) Extra bonus that PJ is right in center of the most cheappest wholesale area of T-shirt , the shopping complex calls Pratunam complex ,it is not far from pantip plaza ( the IT mall) only 15 mins walk and / or Plattinum mall, it is quite Cool location .
