Travel Tips
Frankly, if you are looking to buy designer brands, then I will suggest that you head to Hong Kong for their annual sale starting 1st Jun. You get designer brands going for as much as 40% or even more, depending on the item, during this sale that last till end August. This is the place to go to to buy branded goods, not Thailand.

If you want to buy other items, like those made in Thailand, than Bangkok is where you will want to go. Things that you may want to buy in bulk. Foodstuff too.

Thailand is also having its grand sale from Jun to Jul and you can get discounts, but not much on the branded goods as what you will get in Hong Kong. It will like your Great Malaysia Sale only.

So consider. By the way Singapore is having its Great Sale this week already. Want to consider?

Because they are most likely fake.
The fake ones are cheap but the real ones are the same price, sometimes more expensive. They will factor in possible fluctuations of the exchange rate too, that's why it will priced in your disfavour. Anyway, nobody goes to Bangkok to buy the real stuff. Bangkok is famed for the fakes. Designer goods anywhere in the world will be priced the same. Standardized. They will only be cheaper in their country of origin, e.g. Milan, Paris.
I live in North America and I was in Thailand 2months ago. All the REAL designer items I looked at were more expensive than back home. Coach, Tissot, Armani, Versace.
Do not think you will make a good deal buying designer brand name products in Thailand.

The real ones are heavily taxed. The fakes look good but will fall apart quickly.
