"we're going to bangkok this month. however, i would like to eat thai food" ? - ummm, what do you think they serve in Thailand? Don't try to be complicated. You are going to Bangkok. You will get to eat Thai food everywhere you go. Try it - try it all. Your tastebuds will love you forever.

to answer you request:
1) "best Thai food" - you will be in THAILAND! How good do you want it? Anywhere you eat will be thai food. Just walk down the street and look for a place to eat.

2) "price that is not too expensive?" - Don't be stingy. Unless you are going to a real up market restaurant catering for the very rich - ANYWHERE will be so cheap, you won't believe the price. I once had a plate of fried rice with all extas AND a bowl of soup at Suan Lum night market. It cost me $1.50 Australian - and that is with a combination of everything rather than one choice of meat.

3) "any thai foods that are too spicy?" - there are plenty of dishes that are not spicy. Just ask.

Go to any shopping mall and head for its food court. You will get a good variety to try out. But EVERYWHERE in Bangkok you will find food - eateries, restaurants, noodle houses, side street vendors - EVERYWHERE!

Do a bit of research about the country before you get there. It will be worth your investment.
Don't become a typical "ignorant farang" (foreigners).

Enjoy your stay in Bangkok. It is an amazing place
