Rain In Thailand?

Travel Info
I'm leaving for Thailand in 3 days. I'm going to:
1] Chiang Mai
2] Koh Samui
3] Bangkok
Is it raining there right now?
Are the rains expected any time soon?

Travel Tips
Yes, and you can expect rain all during the summer months. It will be late September or mid October before it stops.

yes your going to see some rain, so bring an umbrella, but it wouldn't stop you from enjoying your vacation.
have no idea darling sorry
nowhereman can always provide you the umbrella. dont worry about the rain.
I live in Chiang Mai and the rains came a little early this year, we are getting some rain every day but it does appear to have eased off right now. I think these early rains are called the Mango Rains and come before the real rainy season settles in.

June to November is recognised as the rainy season and it varies a bit up and down the country. When it looks like it is going to rain and if you do not want to get wet then head straight for the nearest bar/cafe/restaurant to sit it out, don't think that you can make a dash for it, when it rains here it really pours but it is usually short and sharp!

You will definitely see some rain, it won't last too long and if anything it will improve your holiday by freshening the air up and cooling things down a little. Nothing better than kicking back in a beach hut with a cold beer and watching the tropical rain pour down knowing that the sun will be out soon and you can get back in the sea!

I don't know much about Samui but you could check out the link listed below. Bangkok is somewhere that I try not to spend too much time in but would be great for a tourist visit for just a few days. Taxis, tuk-tuks, Skytrains and the underground metro all make it easy to get around and avoid any rains that may come.

Chiang Mai is looking great right now, very green and lush, clear air, hot days and warm nights - enjoy!
- I am a British expat living in Thailand for some years.

The rains came a bit early this year, but this week the rains are pertty light so far in Bangkok.

The rain is good it cleans the earth and air, cools the day, you dont have to worry.

You can expect some rain, so just embrace it!
