It's not worth going to Thailand unless your very interested in the culture and comfortable being surrounded by poverty. 2. 1,000 dollars is enough to last 2 months in Thailand, but you'll want to bring more..just in case. 3. Research the different areas of Thailand, there are a lot of prostitutes and drugs in the country. Unless you are comfortable seeing this on a daily basis, don't go. 4. I spent like 10 dollars a day in Thailand and lived like a king. 5. Know the laws!!!! You can go to jail easily in Thailand, especially for speaking political views!! Others Thailand is the 10th most visited country in the world. It is a country of contrasts - extreme beauty to extreme poverty. but even the poorest of people seem to be happier than most 'rich' people I know - go figure. Go to the travel talk forum on fodors.com - good info there. if you are open to a cultural awakening, leave your im better than you because im american atitude you will enjoy some of the happiest people on planet earth. i lived in bangkok for 18 months during the nam war. (my job took me to viet nam on occasion) (i was responsible for comunication microwave) to keep the war going. you cant have a war if you cant communicate. myself don't bother coming then your waste you money if you feel that way 1) Money will be well spent and worth it. Thailand is very culturally rich. 2) It depends on what you have in mind as far as the trip, and what kind of accommodation you want. You can find a cheap place to stay for less than 10 dollars or anywhere up to....oh..unlimited. It depends whether you plan to shop or sightseeing or bar hopping. It varies. Any country is worth visiting. It all depends on what you are looking for. Why Thailand? Why 2 months? What you wanna do here? Then we can get you more specific answer, how much money you need. |
