I feel sad for all those STD infected girls in Thailand? why isn't the UN do something about it? |
Travel Info are Politics is BS? Our governments are worthless? Travel Tips Frankly, many of the women infected were not aware of the disease and usually learn of it too late. It is the foreign visitors who went there to amuse themselves who passed on their diseases without considerations or consequences. The Thai Govt is trying to help by controlling the medicine cost, make them locally so that it will be affordable. And now it is the US pharmaceuticals who are crying foul because they had been ejected from selling their expensive medicine in Thailand. Hence right now there is this threat of trade embargo against Thailand unless Thailand lift the restriction on them in Thailand. Thai govt is trying to look after their people. Foreign businesses are trying to muscle in for their profits. Others Because we dont live there.. their country..their problems The UN is operated by men who travel a lot to these places parading as helpers but the only people they really help is themselves and families and many of them gave these children STDS. Many of them are PIMPS they r in the business of trafficking in humans. More money for them. That is their way of getting rid of the under privilege. Let them die with AIDS AND OTHER STDS. THEY SAY WE WILL GET FRESH MEAT OUT. MORE PRESSURE MORE MOTHERS WILL GIVE UP THEIR BABIES & YOUNG DAUGTHERS IN EXCHANGE FOR FOOD. AND THE YOUNGER THE BETTER FOR THEM. THEY DON`T CARE!!!!! AND IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!! There isn't really a whole lot they can do about it. Most of them are willing to, say, prostitute. Their parents are ok with that. Thailand's government isn't that serious about taking care of this crap. As many hands other ppl are trying to lend, it helps somewhat, but I'm sure this issue will never go away. The UN has its hands full with other issues, and, although I feel sorry for the girls in Thailand, it is nothing compared to the HIV rate in some african countries... I think the highest rate in the world is in Botswana, central Africa....it's about 38% if I remember correctly Because the Thai government wants to hush-up the matter. Some of those women are either HIV carriers or full blown cases of AIDS. Get this info into a tourism website/ trade magazine and all those foreigners (or farangs, as they are called in Thailand) will stop going to Thailand, dealing a fatal blow to their tourism industry and those who've invested billions of $ in it. travel writer |
