I'm planning to go to Hatyai this June by my own car. need some info? |
Travel Info how long (in hours) is the journey from Bkt kayu Hitam to there, what's the best route should i take/avoid, is there any places of interest along the way. and how safe is it travelling with own car. lately heard about bombing here and there, what's you advice? thanks in advance Travel Tips are u from bukit kayu hitam.if yes the its 45 minutes to 1 hour to hatyai.on the way its only danok is interesting.it depends on what sort of interest u have.just leave your car at BKH and travel by van to hatyai from danok.its easier that way.it cost only rm 5.00.in hatyai you can stay at new world hotel.only 42.00 ringgit.the local tour agent will arrange the necessary tour in and around hatyai for only 30 rrm a day.dont miss out a sea food restaurant call PEE LEK 59 near by sakura hotel. the tastiest food in south east asia.dont worry about the bomb ,it only happen once in a blue moon in hatyai.but try to stay away from crowded area.there is only one road fro BKH to hatyai.keep on going straight. Others Hi From your place to Malaysia-Thai border at Sadao Border pass is just 2-3 hours . And from Sadao border pass to Hatyai only 1 hour. Here in Hatyai, doesn鈥檛 has bomb lately. (The last bad situation was occurred last year) and I think it hardly happen again, since the government installed more than 200 points of CCTV. During time you driving, I also don鈥檛 know what or which place interested. I think no : P One question, Why don鈥檛 you just catch a train 鈥?butther worth. From Malay to Hatyai. After the Thailand immigration, it should take you around 45mins to reach Hatyai town center with average 90km/h. There is only 1 route. Good Luck & Enjoy Recent trip. From Bt Kayu Hitam, it is only 56km to Hatyai after you cross the border. You just need to stay on Highway 4 all the way. That is it. Places of interest along the way is not much, you get nore on the northwest where the 4-Face Buddha, Standing Buddha and Guan Yin Temples are. It is scenic on the mointain top with nice view of city and the 3 temples all on the same mountain range. |
