Anyone know how long it take rougly to travel from the East Coast of the U.S. to Phuket? |
Travel Info Anyone know how long it take rougly to travel from the East Coast of the U.S. to Phuket? Travel Tips if your flying the east coast your going to have to first fly to Bangkok and then get a flight to Phuket. It depents on the airline your taken to get here. It can take anywhere from 17 to 30 hours with about 22 being average. Thai Airways has a flight from JFK to BKK that take 17 hours. Northwest Airlines flights to Bangkok are about 22 hours. Then you need to get a flight to Phuket which is about 1 hour flight from Bangkok. So it will be around 2 days. Total elapsed time should take you up to 27-30 hours, assuming that you fly american airlines, United, Northwest or etc. and change flight at least 3 airports (1 in mainland USA, 1 in Asia Pacific, Japan, HK or Taiwan, and 1 in Bangkok). 1 hour Bkk - Phuket 5 hours Bkk - Narita 10 - 11 hrs Narita - SFO/LA 5 - 6 hours SFO/LA - NY 23 hours in the plane + 2 hours transit at each airport .. Total 29 hours Note: Actual transit at each airport may be more especially at Narita. Add 2 more hours to cover time required/delay. |
