How much does it cost to take a dog to thailand? |
Travel Info does anyone know how much it costs to transport a dog to thailand and what i have to do Travel Tips Each airline has there own regulations for animal transportation so contact the airlines and tell them that you want to take your dog and they will give you all the details. One thing you need to know about bringing a pet to Thailand, is there are regulations for bringing pets here. You have to take your dog to the Vet and have all the shots updated, as well as the forms from the Vet stating everything is well with your pet. These forms have to be dated less than 30 days prior to your arrival. (Search google for bringing a pet to Thailand) and you will get all the requirements for exactly what forms you need from your Vet. Once you arrive in Bangkok, you have to take your pet to the Quarantine Office. Now, and this is very important, IF you have down all the required forms correctly, you can go through Quarantine and pay the fee which last time I did this was 500 baht and be out of there in 5 minutes However if you do NOT have all the required current forms from your Vet, you pet could possibly end up quarantined for 30 days and that would not be a good thing because no one would take good care of it. This process is really easy to do, if you do the research and get the forms you need signed by your Vet Good luck Source(s): Live in Thailand Other Travel Tips I don't believe you are allowed to import food into Thialand. Why don't you call tollfree no. of any Courier companies like UPS, DHL, Fedex or TNT. You can even inquire from airlines. They are the best people to guide you on transportation of living animals. you will have to contact the airline,s cargo department and ask them , or phone your local airport or ask a vet The costs vary per airline, but on Northwest price varies from 96 to almost $200 to transport a dog. You best check the website of the airline you are traveling on to get more accurate information. But here is the Northwest link so you can get a feel for the pricing and what it entails. http://www.nwa.com/travel/animals/carryo... or http://www.nwa.com/travel/animals/aircra... depending on whether your dog will travel with you in the cabin...or travel in the cargo hold...check both out. Hope that helps! idk & y |
