What can you do in ko samui,Thialand?

Going to stay there for a week and do not know what to do. I am a student so I do not have a lot of money.

Travel Tips

See if the Full Moon Party at Koh Phangan is on while you're there. You can take the high speed catamaran across to the Island. Its a beach party that goes on until sunup.
Check out the bars, shops, restaraunts in Chewang or Lamai.
There's a couple of spots that have decent snorkeling around the Island.
Go for an elephant ride.
Go to the Ang Thong marine park

Others

Rent a motorbike and do your own Island tour. Walk around and relax on the beach.
Hire a scooter (Thais call scooters motorbikes but they really are scooters). It is cheap but be careful because the roads can be dangerous in Thailand.

There are elephant rides and boat tours. The boat tour is better than the elephant ride if you have to choose between the 2 .

Lamai beach is amazing but full of street workers at nite.

Chaweng beach is not as beautiful but has alot of shops,
bars and food.

There is a hostel next to burger king on chaweng beach that is quite cheap. Never stayed in it myself but it is cheap.

Be careful of the girls there. Ask them upfront if they
are after cash or are they really sincere!

hire a jeep, not a scooter or you are likeyl to get hurt on the roads!

go and visit the grandmother and grandfather rocks, play football golf, see the waterfalls, get a massage on the beach, hire a jetski, eat dinner on the beach (lot s of restaurants), catch a night boat to a full moon party, go snorkelling,see the emerald lake, go see the temple in the North (forget the name!),you will have plenty to do :)
