Next holiday where to go!? |
Travel Info son wants to go to Thailand (bangkok and one of the islands) whislt hubby and i want to go to Australia. Any suggestions please? Travel Tips Never been to Australia myself, but Thailand and Australia are such different. I mean Thailand is much smaller but offer a whole lots of different experiences. If you come from Western Country like the US and Europe, Thailand would be an eye opener of different cultures, foods, tourist spots, in a more condense place than Australia. Islands like Samui, Samed and Phuket, although these are all in different directions but offer different views and touristic attractions. The idea of going to Australia via Thailand is a good idea as you can see for yourself what Thailand is like, but I would recommend you spend at least a week in Thailand. It's worth to spend a couple of days in Bangkok doing some sight seeing of all the temples, museums and shopping centers while spending another three to four days I think at Samui island before you depart to Australia. You can fly from Bangkok to Samui and if your timing it correctly coming back to Bangkok or going to Australia via Phuket afterward. Have fun. Others Hawaii--a kind of westernised island -possibly the best of both worlds. I think that it's awesome that your hubby/you and son want to go somewhere that most people would not even think of. If I were you, I would go to austr. because I had a friend who went there last summer and she had a BLAST! she went to the opera house and everything. It's a real course of fun she told me. Mexico. Great beaches I tell you. And great views!! Do some new things Oz will be more fun stay in bed, sleep. I wish I could. Personally, I would say Thailand because the whole culture and everything is different to Australia, you might find that Australia can be very similar to the other pat of Australia. Does that make sense? Why not go to australia via bangkok ,spend a few nights there first or do all 3 places if you can afford it and you have the time if you do go bkk look at the bel-aire princess hotel is in a great location and is a good price ,we have stayed here 4 times |
