Travel Info Hi im travelling to thailaind in july for a month and am trying to get some reccomendations of nice places to stay...along with obviously reading guides n stuff, it would be nice to hear from actual people! Travel Tips Well, ok, - as you know, it depends on your budget and luxury and cheap, well, not oft found - however, it is certainly available on a relative basis... I stayed in a lovely hotel with big pool, clean as a whistle in Surin [ Surin Majestic ] I think it was abt $22 US - In Chiang Mai you can get pretty decent guesthouses for that price and far far less... Bkk will be much less for your money - Once you get your feet on the ground, it will feel much easier... In Tak there are very nice hotels for $22 and down - Hua hin, Cha'am beaches - you cna find nice and decent for $15 - Phuket and Samui will surely be more - your guidebook will certainly be helpful - if you want specific recommendations - tell us where you will be going and you will get suggestions - - good luck - You will have a great time.. If you are going to someplace like Bangkok, the prices are about the same year round. If you go to the beaches in the south you can get 4 and 5 star hotels at 2 and 3 star prices because July is the middle of rainy season. Almost ALL hotels are 50% off during the time you're there. Try looking at going to Khao Lak. |
