Visit to Thailand - Need some answers?

Hi, I am planning to go to Thailand in September 07. I am there for 4-5 days and am landing in Bangkok. Please let me know the following:
1. Is it the right time to go? Or is there a lot of rain?
2. Where should i definitely visit when in Thailand? Any special sightseeing places?
3. If I have my partner with me, where can I go to enjoy the night life? I want to sample the go-go bars and stuff but in a safe manner.....just want to see the places.
4. What should I definitely shop for? How are the prices? Do you bargain?
5. Where should I stay? Which area/location? Good budget hotels?
If a person who is staying in Thailand can let me know, I will be thankful.

I think there is warm weather???
Try the Asia travel in google and I think they have where good prices and nice hotels there!!!!

my brother goes quite often stays at queen pattaya hotel center point of pattaya just get a cab outside airport good luck
1. its ok - can be rainy..

2. oh, at your hotel they will have lists of day tours - choose as to interest and mood

3. check Nana Ent Plaza or Soi Cowboy

4. Bargaining depends on where you are - in a mkt you can bargain.. Shop for things you like? Somethings are bargains but if you are looking for gems etc, the old axiom applies - if it is to good to be true - - also, go shopping on your own - do not let a taxi or guide of any sort accompany you - especially if they will take you for free - - custom made clothing is a good buy here
